To majordomo-users list gurus:
I am trying to configure my list headers so that they are a little more
formated than they are currently.
Right now only TWO headers appear, DATE: and From:
I have added a "reply_to" variable and a "sender" variable in the .config
I have made the "precedence" varaible = to nothing <blank>.
My list is moderated on 1.94.1 on a HP B.10.10. I am using sendmail.
When I approve a messages and it gets sent to the list, the headers I
supplied (the above .config variables) appear at the bottom of the
message. Also the Subject line doesnt appear!
If the user wishes to reply, it uses the From: variable and not the
reply_to, and the from is the firstname.lastname@example.org NOT the sender.
Are the variables we can configure in the .config file only for show and
not inserted into the actual mail headers? Is it meant for the user to
read that header at the bottom and cut and paste the address or whatever?
If that is the case, it doesnt seem very useful. It is most likely that
I am missing something in the setup somewhere :). I would greatly
appreciate any assistance.
