Thanks to:
Kendall P. Bullen
Mark Rauterkus
and Dave Wolfe.
I knew the problem had to be with file/directory permissions, which it
was. As per Dave's suggestion, I made the lists directory world readable
and executable. This solved the problem.
Thanks for your help and patience towards a question, which in retrospect,
should have been immediately solvable...

My original question follows:
I have a similar problem...
I have recently set up Majordomo. Everything is fine except for one
fundamental thing. I (or anyone else) cannot post to my list (called
mylist). When I try posting I get two email messages:
1)
----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
mylist-list (unrecoverable error)
:include:/usr/local/majordomo-1.94.1/lists/mylist (unrecoverable error)
(expanded from: mylist-list)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 :include:/usr/local/majordomo-1.94.1/lists/mylist... Cannot open
/usr/local/majordomo-1.94.1/lists/mylist: Permission denied
554 mylist-list... aliasing/forwarding loop broken
2)
Mailer /usr/lib/sendmail -oi -oee -fowner-mylist@kbaker.matrox.com
mylist-list exited unexpectedly with error 17152
I have verified all file permissions. All files and directories involved
are owned by majordom. In any case, all files are currently readable (and
writable) by ugo.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Karl Baker
