Hi,

I'm making some progress -- but wondering about digest stuff:
Background: Unix BSD, virtual server, mj 1.94.1, sendmail, Newbie alert
ON!

Error problem:
When I issue the command to majordomo@mydomain.com
mkdigest list-digest PASSWORD

Things I scratch my head about: I've got a pointer in some file that is
pointing to the wrong place to be sure. But, where to seek out that bad
pointer?

List-Digest.config?
List.config?

Plus, there are some things in the config files that make me wonder too.
Have these been upgraded for the latest version? I'm now up to 1.94.1 --
but a step up to the latest might be in order?

Also,

The Don't change this unless ... -- I'm sure that the read me part was
written for people like me. I don't know what I'm doing so I leave that
blank. Can someone here push me into using that in the right way?

Plus, the digest file in the main majordomo folder has something that
seems to be a question too: Within the first 20 lines this is what I have:

--- snip start ---

&init;
&readconfig;
$TEMP = "$TMPDIR/digest.$$" || "/usr/tmp/digest.$$";

--- snip end ---

My set-up on the server is like this:
/usr/local/majordomo/Digests/
The TMPDIR/ looks a bit too ugly for me to touch.

??

The digesting seems to be going on ok as posts go to the list. Files are
getting saved to a folder with pathway shown above. I have a list and a
list-digest set up too.

Thanks.
