Hi,

On to archives: A huge summary follows later. I should be writing a book,
Majordomo for Dummies.

Problem today: ---- snip starts:
Majordomo results:

>>>> index better-swim-list
#### No files available for better-swim-list.

MAJORDOMO WARNING (mj_majordomo)!!

Index command /bin/ls -lRL failed.
No such file or directory 256

>>>> index better-swim-digest
**** index: index command failed
--- end snip

Running MJ 1.94.1, BSD Unix, Sendmail 8.*, virtual host with alais access.

My majordomo.cf file has this: (not changed yet by me) --- snip starts
below:
# What command should I use to process an "index" request?
#
$index_command = "/bin/ls -lRL";
----- end snip

I can use cut and paste to run the command from the telenet prompt. So,
% /bin/ls -lRL
yeilds the listings of the files on my server.

Not sure how to fix that error.

We do have a majordomo/Archives directory with a file called,
better-swim-list

Thanks. My file structure and such was explained in past email.
