I used to read it that way until I realized how ancient RFC822 is.  Were it
anywhere near modern, it would just say "mailing list" and be done with it.
It's obvious that, whatever RFC822 says is legal, that it does not
necessarily tell you what is a good idea.  When the first mail loop hit me
I realized what was a good idea and what wasn't.

It's just pragmatism; I'm not religious about it because I have good mail
software that can completely ignore the Reply-To if I want it to.  (Which
suggests a feature to ignore it only if it has a certain value, so I still
get the benefit of user-supplied Reply-To should the list software decide
to pass them.)  I'll still do everything I can to make sure that
Majordomo][ traps all the loops it can.  Here are the filters I'm
considering:

 - Too many messages from a certain address
 - Duplicate Message-IDs
 - Duplicate body (MD5 checksum or equivalent), for each MIME part.
 - Duplicate top of body (checksum of first N lines).

I'm writing this now; any ideas are appreciated.
