Well I would hate it if the mailing lists that I subscribe to ask sort of
living FAQ demos - seeing for myself what questions are asked and how
frequently and what the answers are - to turn into just questions without
answers. So I certainly appreciate it that the correct answers end up on
the list, as without answers the questions are useless to me. I think that
in order to expect the correct answer to show up I have to accept the
incorrect ones preceding it because those providing the incorrect ones
usually think they are correct.
When I ask questions I prefer the answer to appear on the list so that I
know it will be seen by many others who will hopefully refute it if it is
incorrect, or warn of any problems it may have etc.
So I am decidely in favour of all answers to questions being posted to the
list, regardless of whether they are also Cc'd anywhere else whatsoever.
