It's fully up to each person.  I personally run about 35 lists, and I
post regularly to three or four of them.  Several others I skim over
and post once in a great while (and list members comment that I've
"popped up"), and for all the rest I only get involved if there's a
problem.  But that's because either the list volume is too high for me
to read regularly or those, or because my interest in the list subject
has waned.  Usually the latter.
