Hi all,
We have one of our lists sending messages more than once. The problem may
be caused by exporting email addresses from a database and manually
replacing the list file, which would bypass majordomo's checking of invalid
addresses. It appears that the address baileym@ is causing the problem,
however aside from verifying the addresses manually, I was hoping there
might be something in the config to stop this. It may well be a sendmail
issue and if so, my apologies for being off topic.
At the time the message (IAA20925) was created in the sendmail queue, the
entry below was found in our maillog
Jun 25 08:05:01 pudding sendmail[20925]: IAA20925: to=baileym@,
ctladdr=:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/firmware (107/101),
delay=00:00:16, mailer=local, stat=User unknown
The following entries appear shortly afterward and then it proceeds to mail
out again to the list.
Jun 25 08:13:20 pudding sendmail[20925]: IAA20925: to=none so far,
ctladdr=:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/firmware (107/101),
delay=00:08:35, mailer=local, stat=User unknown
Jun 25 08:13:20 pudding sendmail[20925]: IAA20925: to=not applicable,
ctladdr=:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/firmware (107/101),
delay=00:08:35, mailer=local, stat=User unknown
Any help would be appreciated.
