Which Majordomo version? The valid_addr in 1.93.x checked only for funky
characters and performed a rudimentary X.400 syntax verification. The
valid_addr in 1.94.x does better checking of actual Internet address formats.

Also: what siteaddr file are you using? Home-grown or "simple" or... I will
assume "simple".

Are you sure about that? Or is it failing on the point just below
valid_addr where the address is run against a rather complex regexp?
Comment those 2 regexp-related lines out.
