keeping lists in separate subdir

Hi,
I would like to keep each of the list in its own subdirectory
eg. demolist would be under:
/path/to/majordomo/lists/demolist/
where the demolist file, demolist.info demolist.posters etc could be
kept there.
I know that I could configure it during the installation but since it
was the first time I did it, I thought it would be safer to go with
the default set up. 
Is it possible to change it without a complete reinstallation and if
yes, can somebody tell me how to do it?
