I'm just installing majordomo, and I've got a funny that I can't fix...
In my /etc/mail/aliases I have a line
majordomo: "|/opt/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.3/wrapper majordomo"
as required
However, when I mail the "lists" command to majordomo, I get a bounce that says:
> ----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
>"|/opt/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.3/wrapper majordomo" (unrecoverable error)
> (expanded from: majordomo)
> ----- Transcript of session follows -----
>550 "|/opt/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.3/wrapper majordomo"... User unknown
>Message delivered to mailing list majordomo
So the right hand side of my alias is being treated as a user rather than
a pipe. (If I use alias: :include:/path/file then it does the same thing)
Using: solaris 2.5, sendmail 8.6
Searched: altavista, yahoo, sendmail FAQ, majordomo FAQ, sendmail.cf, solaris
answerbook - all to no avail
If anyone has any ideas then I'd be very grateful
Thanks
