I've seen this once before on one of our lists: generated via UNIX rather
than Majordomo, it was full of trailing whitespace on each address line. We
deleted the whitespace to get around the problem, but I'm sure it is only
matter of time before the list grows with more *legit* characters. 

Clearly, there is a browser-dependent character limit on a TEXTAREA field.
There is nothing in the specs that specifies such a limit, but I'm sure no
browser manufacturer ever intended the element to be used for editing 30K
worth of data.

No quick answer for you. What is probably needed is an alternate interface
for MajorCool subscriber edits that can somehow handle adds/deletes from a
large list. At the very least, if there is a way to quantify the maximum
value it should warm when the limit has been met.
