Aha. I take your point, and thanks for solving the mystery. Now, how to
automate the approval process, such that the list owner doesn't have to
send the message out "twice" (once to the list, and in effect twice, by
having to forward the bounced message back to the list with the
'Approved:' line)?

This was the point of sending the message out in the form I mentioned in
my first post and which, oddly enough, seemed to work reliably most of the
time...
