Firstly, I don't think you have the 'most recent' version, because the
'punting' message is different in 1.94.x - and considerably more
helpful. It would tell you what address it was complaining about, which
is key here.

Your Majordomo program is sending messages to itself. This can occur if
you have the aliases screwed, or perhaps you've altered stuff in
majordomo.cf or the list config. At a guess, the 'approval' address is
set to something which resolves to 'majordomo'.

Lets' see your aliases, and see if that gives us a clue.
