Majordomo doesn't try and "work the command" - it filters the mail,
redirecting it to the list owner for moderation because it is in fact
highly likely (but not always the case) that such a mail was in fact meant
to be sent to majordomo and not the discussion list. You should approve the
message (pass the message on to the list) when the filter has been
triggered in a case where the message was in fact intended for the list.

I'd suggest you think again before changing this as list users tend to get
very peeved at frequent list command mails being sent to the discussion
list in error. It is however possible to stop this filtering by editing the
list.config file (look for the administrivia option) something you probably
ought to read all of either now or if you have any other problems. There is
also the FAQ of course - given the number of majordomo users and the wealth
of information in the FAQ it is fair to expect people to have tried to work
through problems by reading the FAQ first before bringing problems here.

(PS I hope not to imply I'm hassled by queries sent to this list but there
must be some bound to the near saintly helpfullness of people like Dave :)
