the best sendmail reference is the huge sendmail book from O'Reilly.
i've opted to become an exim expert rather than a sendmail expert,
and won't attempt to give sendmail advice, other than to mention
that bulk_mailer will cure most of you problems, and make sure that
you install some good anti-spam relaying stuff in your sendmail.cf
file. others know more about that than i; exim is a whole different
mta from sendmail, and does it's anti-spam and performance stuff a
bit differently.
