    Hi,
I'm having the problem that majordomo (v. 1.94.1) is aborting
sometimes when trying to chmod or chown certain files. The apparent
reason for this is that the calling script is running as bin, and I'm not
sure why. It's also leaving digest and archive files around owned by bin,
not my majordom user. Wrapper is setuid root and setgid majordom.
Sendmail is running as root. How else might the majordomo scripts be
called?
It seems that this running as bin is intermittent. I recently did
some testing whereby I ran top on the host machine and sent posts to a
dummy list. When the process showed up on the host (as the "resend"
script, or one of the others that gets called) it was running variably as
majordom or bin.
I realize this may be a problem with the OS, but I was wondering
if there was any experience with this sort of thing out there. Thanks.
