12 I hope that's enough lines for this letter to get through:
I received the following message from majordomo:
>>>> approve password unsubscribe mathedu EHART@vax1.mum.edu
**** unsubscribe: 'EHART@vax1.mum.edu' matches multiple list members.
**** FAILED.
When I gave the command "who mathedu", ehart was listed twice, once as above
and once as ehart@mum.edu.
Can I get rid of the unwanted address (which bounces) without calling on
the help of our systems administrator for manual editing of the list?
Surely, if mj doesn't allow me to unsubscribe this name, it shouldn't have
allowed it to be subscribed in the first place? I don't understand why mj
places this kind of restriction. Why shouldn't the list owner be able to
delete any line at all from the subscriber file, whether mj thinks it has a
right to be there or not?
Please reply by email, as I don't have time to read the list.
Thanks very much.
