Hi,
One of my folks asked me to set-up / allow for a multimedia email
discussion list. Humm, what can of worms does this open for the system
administrator and users?
Up to now, I've turned all attachements OFF for all the lists. We can
turn on the allow-attachement thing and that is one way -- but there has
to be more "guidelines" and more "system things to account for" -- yes?
Are the multi-media attachements archived?
Are the multi-media attachements digested?
Should some FTP mail be used instead? -- I've never used that but only
remember hearing of it in the past.
What "standard" attachements are best suggested for the users of the
list?
I'm thinking these would be OK:
-- HTML Pages,
-- JPEGs
-- annimated gifs
-- QuickTime movies
Is that too restricting? What else might be OK? Advise welcomed.
