Hello (first time here) :-)
I've set up some lists, all with digests. The problem is that the members
of the digest versions, are not allowed to post to the (any) list not even
to the list-digest address. What I get is a bounced message (non-member
submission) for no obvious reason. Note that everything else seems to work
fine (digests go out in time, messages are decoded and archived,
subscriptions/authorisations/removals are ok, etc). Majordomo
is 1.94.3 (1.94.4 soon) and it runs on a PC/Linux and a Sparc/SunOS.
Lists are open+confirm and post is restricted to the list members.
Some modifications I have done for every list, are the sendmail aliases,
in order to decode the misc encoding schemes (base64/8bit/mime) before
adding them to the digest and the archive (that's what the 'mime8' does:
decodes messages and strips all headers but the From:/Date:/To:/Subject:).
I had to do this, in order to support the greek alphabet (other ideas
welcomed). I've also changed the word 'outgoing' to '&sgr;ut', in the majordomo
script.
