Under Linux, when trying to unsubscribe...:

>MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
>
>chmod(33204, "/usr/lib/majordomo/lists/nameoflist.new"):
>Operation not permitted

wrapper is running as root, tried it setuid and otherwise.

Permissions and groups _look_ okay... but files (i.e. list.new,
L.list.config) are created owned by bin (the user sendmail runs as), but
are group writable, and majordom is in the groups bin and daemon. Changing
ownership of the files to majordom.daemon doesn't help (although bin is in
the group daemon).

Should I abandon the whole daemon thing and make majordomo fall into group
bin?

Any other info required? I can't get rid of this.

'./wrapper config-test' run as yet another user is fine...
Tmajordom added to sendmail.cf and sendmail restarted...

Yours frustratedly,
Kieran
