Time.
I have never ever ever seen one spam on any of the groups where you have to:
send the 'scribe message
receive the confirmation (*)
send the confirmation back
It would be very efficient if the confirmation mentioned that spam would be
passed along for $1000/per 'scriber. (I have seen this on lists).
It just doesn't happen. They would have to have a valid mailing address,
and spammers don't like using real addresses
