It is a more general case that an extant header not be changed by anything
other than the agent that created the header (though mailbox rewriting for
canonicity is allowed under SMTP).
If you wish to treat Majordomo as the originator, then you need to generate
a new set of headers. The new From header needs to point at majordomo, or
the list-owner mailbox, since these are the responsible agents. If you go
with the latter then you must eliminate the Sender header. But now it
becomes impossible to send a reply to the person who initially posted the
message since his mailbox is no longer in the headers.
I think that the foolishness of this tack is readilly apparant.
