Hello gang,
As you might recall, I had a question about approving subscribers.
It was pointed out to me:
>If you want people to be able to subscribe addresses which may not be
>their own, then set the subscription policy to
>
> auto
>
>instead of
>
> open
This indeed solved my problem, but here is a question:
I thought the reason majordomo supports subscribing a different
address is if someone for some reason can't send email out of
some address.
The trouble is, the confirmation letter appears to need to come
from the address the subscriber subscribed. However, if the
subscriber can't send email from this address, then this hasn't
helped any, has it?
Or have I missed the point?
(By the way, it was also recommended to me that I have a password
file for other reasons. I've done this too.)
Thanks again,
Michael
