Yes, well, I find the administrivia function, as implemented, to be
enormously useful in keeping misdirected sub/unsub requests -- and the
subscriber reactions they cause -- off of my lists.  The function
might be more inconvenient on lists where people are constantly using
those words in the context of typical list discussion, but that's not
true for any of my lists, and the effort of approving the occasional
false positive is small compared to the effort of cleaning up the mess
that results from people sending these requests to the lists.

Your mileage may vary, of course.
