I'm not sure what you mean by a "majordomo reply".

If your mail reader is MIME compliant and you send a mail
to the list all receipiants with a MIME compliant mail
reader should at least be able to download the image.
Majordomo will not corrupt the mail during resend.

If you have to approve the mail before it is distributed
there is a risk of corrupting the header fields, which
are essential for MIME compliant mail readers. See the
list owners information. Especially make sure that any
long header fields are folded correctely. It is OK if
such fields are folded into several physical lines if
any continuation line is started with a white space.
