Yes. Actually, I meant rmail instead of mail, as well. Outgoing mail was
checked against rules violations in mailsurr, and then sent out. My system
administrator was dissatisfied with the level of security that sendmail offered
at the time, and was happy with the functioning of the mail system as it was.

None of this is the least bit important; I was only reminiscing. But, there was
a standard way of making appropriate changes to mailsurr, and it always annoyed
me that I never figured it out.
