  I think just setting the listname-digest.config variable:

digest_maxdays = 1

  To get a daily digest would be easier than using a cron entry.

  I'm pretty sure that if you make changes to a cron entry you
  have to stop the cron and restart it, or reboot the system before
  they take effect.
