Hallo eveybody,
I have some doubts with the installation and the creation of lists.
I have majordomo1.94.4 ad slackware.I need to work with majordomo but just
in my machine at home not to the public(it's a studies project).
1)
I made the installation as explained in INSTALL (creating a majordomo group
and an user)
In the majordomo.cf :
I dont know what to put in
$whereami, the name of my machine is MiPC(and in the hostname file says:
MiPC.tristar.com).I tried with MiPC but i am not sure.
$whoami="majordom\$wherami";
$homedir="/majorinst";(the directory where i installed it)
2)
I have tried to create lists( as NEWLIST file) but
i dont know haow to do the step7: config <listname> <listname>.admin comand
to majordomo.
I also donīt know how to test a list
Thos is the way i tried :
from an user called juan i made mailto: to:majordom@localhost
subscribe cine
then majordomo receives the message but there is no response to juan@localhost.
I suppose this is not the right way.
I know majordomo takes a message from an address and it process
it(subscribe,etc..)
but where is specified that address.
I trie to execute majordomo and it says:
/etc/majordomo.cf not readcle ;stopped at /majordomo line 44.
I suppose that this is because I dont have to execute it must be other
program that call it and give it some arguments. IS that right?
