In fact the Wall Street Journal is betting heavily
on HTML and XML as a standard for organizing and
presenting its information resources. A large
number of newspapers are investing heavily in
HTML/XML and plan to use email as an important
mechanism for distributing their wares. This is
one of many reasons why so many major producers of
mail readers have added HTML capabilities to their
products during the last year or two. The
traditional Unix community appears to be a bit
behind the curve on these developments, a
situation which is providing Microsoft an
excellent opportunity to cut even more deeply into
the Unix market.
