Hello,
I manage several majordomo discussion lists, using Majordomo
version 1.94.1 on a SUN Solaris 2.5 system and I would like to rid
these list of a couple of annoyances.
1) I have found that if anyone posting to a list includes
a majordomo command, "subscribe" for instance, in the body
of their email then majordomo bounces this message to the owner.
This in some ways is a nice feature, but "subscribe" can
obviously be used in conversation in addition to majordomo's
uses.
What options do I have in the configuration, if any, to
make this filtering less fatal to a posted message? Or are
all majordomo commands just NOT allowed in email messages?
2) How can I configure majordomo so that attachments to posted
emails don't cause a bounce (based on exceeding the max
length). Normally the attachments are just word documents,
spreadsheets, small powerpoint presentations, etc. I increased
the list.config "maxlength" from 40000 to 100000 but even so
an 800K attachment bounces due to exceeding the maxlength.
Is there a general rule of thumb to determine this maxlength
number based on what attachment sizes I wish to allow?
Thank you for your help!
