Majordomo Abort

I a having a slight problem with majordomo.

Users can subscribe to a list and get the authorization message back
with no problem.  When they send the auth back they get an  error that
reads:

>>> Sorry, an error has occurred while processing your request
As owner of the list I get the message :

MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
Can't append to /usr/local/majordomo/lists/faccdl: Permission denied

I have set the permissions with chmod 664 listname and listname.info,
and the directory was set with 775.

Also I can creat a list manually and have no problem.

Software is Redhat 5, and Majordomo 1.9.4
Any help would be helpful
