Just be careful that the message is not lost if this remote sendmail
execution fails.

Yes.. for a permanent installation you'll want to use a more sophisticated
implementation of smarthosting, as implemented e.g. in Majordomo 2. (The
fine delivery engine of Majordomo 2 is also going to be included in the
next release of Bouncefilter in such a way that you can use it also with
Majordomo 1.x)
