Thanks, Matt. It took a while to track down the exact command I needed, but
that put me on the right track!
For anyone curious, the answer was to add
DM lists.downcity.net
to my sendmail.cf. (My .cf was generated with limited masquerading turned on,
apparently, otherwise it should have been caught from my CW file.)
