I am a newbie to both Linux and to Majordomo. I have encountered the following problem, and let me just say thanks in advance for any help :^)

When typing newaliases for Sendmail (version 8.8.7) I get the following error messages:

Cannot open hash database /etc/mail/deny: Invalid argument
/etc/aliases: 14 aliases, longest 10 bytes, 152 bytes total
hash map "Alias1": unsafe map file /usr/majordomo/majordomo.aliases: Permission
denied
WARNING: cannot open alias database /usr/majordomo/majordomo.aliases
Cannot create database for alias file /usr/majordomo/majordomo.aliases: Operatio
n not supported by device

I added the following line to /etc/sendmail.cf:
OA/usr/majordomo/majordomo.aliases

The following are my rights for Majordomo.aliases:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 821 May 7 14:18 majordomo.aliases

Thanks,
Robby Rufener
