I suspect not, since I had this error a while back I run Majordomo as
majordom, group mail, but I accidentally created a list file as root,
group mail. Majordomo then tried to create the new file with the same
ownership, which it wasn't allowed to, hence the operation not
permitted error here. I suspect this is what happened here; chown
majordom.mail /path/to/lists/listname should fix it, replacing the
correct user and group name.
