Hello...
I'm just a lowly list admin. I don't know anything about config files,
Perl, and whatnot. I just want to know what commands I can send as an admin.
The majordomo admin takes 3-5 weeks to respond to me, and often doesn't know
anything anyway.
All I really want to do is open my list for subscriptions so I don't have to
process them myself. And then let any subscriber post without it being
moderated. Basically, I want a "hands off" approach to management. Set it up
and let it go.
I can't find anything in the FAQ. I can't find anything when searching the
archives. I tried sending what I thought looked like a valid command I found
in the archives, but all I got was a message to the list owner (me) saying
someone tried to send an admin command. Does majordomo check to see if the
sending address is the list owner's? Even if I have the password? It's going
to be a pain when I read/send mail from about 4 different systems, and have
all of them set to a mail alias so responses get back to the right place.
Majordomo is never going to recognize anything I do if it tries to verify the
sending address as well as the password!
Please...is there any solution? I can't depend on the majordomo admin being
able to help me at all.
