Did you receive a copy of the list-owner-info file?
You need to send a "config" command to majordomo (_not_ to your list) in
the following form:
config listname PASSWORD
You will receive a configuration file in response. What I do next is
Forward the config file to majordomo, which allows me to edit it before I
resend. Edit out the forwarding information, replace config with
newconfig, and change the parameters you want to change. In your case,
change subscribe_policy to open or open+confirm. Then send it on to
majordomo. You will receive an email in response telling you whether it
worked or not.
