The directions should be included with it and/or majordomo. Briefly,
you send the message to be approved to/through the approve script (if
you use pine, you can pipe the mail to the script), and the script
will make the proper changes to the message. The approve script needs
a ".majordomo" file in your home directory to work. The contents of
that file is a line for each list you want to use approve for, like
this:

	listname password majordomo@yourhost.com

; >unsubscribe listname user@domain.com
; I didn't mean unsubscribing. Under Listserv, when you set nomail, you're
; still a list subscriber, which means you can still post to the list without
; getting the list mail.

Majordomo, AFAIK, does not have this ability. The next nearest option
set is to either not have the list restricted or use a *.mod file with
the name(s) of post-but-not-receive address(es) in that instead of the
subscriber's list.

; If that's the case, I really meant "private_who = yes". If not everybody
; can use "who listname", how can I use the "who" command with my list password?

Issue the following command:

	approve password who listname

; does "who_access = closed" equal to "private_who = yes"?

Yes. There is also the "list" setting to that option, which will
allow the list subscribers to retrieve the list, but no one else.

There is no need to copy to me via email a newsgroup follow-up.
