Hello!

I run into a trouble trying to set up Majordomo and ftpmail on the same
machine. What happens is that Majordomo passes to ftpmail whole path of
the requested (get-ed) file, but ftpmail can't see it when it logs in
anonymously. My anonymous FTP login chroots to ftp home directory, and
everything above that is totaly invisible for ftpmail. If I put $filedir
under ftp root then I get a path/filename wrong
("/home/ftp/pub/lists/listname-files/filename" instead of only
"/pub/lists/listname-files/filename").

I think this has to be solved with Majordomo, not ftpmail. Let's say
$filedir *is* under local ftp home directory. I see a solution in
defining one or two more variables, e.g. boolean $local_ftp and string
$ftp_root . If the first is "1", then it would mean that Majordomo must
strip $ftp_root from the beginning of $filedir, and pass the result to
ftpmail.

Well, the only problem is that I don't know how to do that, since I'm
*very* new to Linux, perl, etc.

I don't know if the problem is already discussed here, so please excuse
me for dropping in like this. If anybody can help, pleaase contact me
via e-mail.

Thanks in advance!
