Please describe how to do that. Is your surname "Hardware"? What do you
do with addresses which (like a very large portion of those on my lists)
have no comments?

Not really, although it does know how to get out something that might be a
name out of the addresses, because the 'who' command can be configured to
show names (or the stuff on the left of the '@' for addresses without
comments) only. It's a simple step to rewriting addresses into some
special form, but not one that I'm willing to take.
