What led you to believe that something like that would work?  You mail
commands to Majordomo; you don't run it yourself.

The address between those two spaces (i.e. a completely empty string) is
not legal.  Majordomo's trying to parse its input as a mail message (since
that's the only thing it understands) and comes up with nothing.
