Hey Jenny Lyle! I got your message about Addin footers:
; I've been unsuccessful in adding a message_footer to my mailing list. I have
; tried inserting it into the config file a few different ways but majordomo
; rejects them all.
Here is an excerpt from my list's config file:
-----------------------------\
# message_footer [string_array] (undef) <resend,digest>
# Text to be appended at the end of all messages posted to the
# list. The text is expanded before being used. The following
# expansion tokens are defined: $LIST - the name of the current
# list, $SENDER - the sender as taken from the from line, $VERSION,
# the version of majordomo. If used in a digest, no expansion
# tokens are provided. The format for this is to place the message
# in between the ENDs, with a dash and a space before each line of
# text.
message_footer << END
- New England conventions and events are listed at the New England
- Science Fiction web resource: www.world.std.com/~gordol/nesf/
END
-----------------------------/
This is with Majordomo 1.94 on an SGI running Irix 6.2 and Perl 5.004.
