I hate to do this but I haven't been able to figure it out on my
own. I've read what I could and searched the list archives to no avail.
I did find several messages pertaining to the problem but no answers
and not what appears to be the same problem I'm having (although similar).
Using Linux 2.0.35, perl 5.004_4, majordomo 1.94.4, sendmail 8.9.1. I've
got it installed, aliases setup, etc. and './wrapper config-test' works
fine (no bad things) but when I tried the 'echo lists | mail majordomo'
it didn't work, nothing was logged in the 'Log'. I've tried various
things playing around with permissions with no change (except when I
removed all 'x' then I finally got a 'permission denied' error. Right
now everything is back to the way it was installed, below are some
excerpts from the messages I got back, my aliases file, 'ls' output, etc.
I saw some messages regarding line #519 (?) in majordomo.pl and I tried
commenting that out with no luck, since I'm using the lastest majordomo
that isn't supposed to be a problem anyways, but I thought I'd try. Also
played with the 'DontBlameSendmail' options (since I see you've got to
use them anyway for the 'include' files) also with no luck. Just seems
like majordomo isn't getting executed and I'm not sure whether its a
majordomo or sendmail problem.
Appreciate any input or pointers to any other resources, debugging
commands, etc. to help me get this running. I also just installed ListServ
Lite and have it running but I'd like to get Majordomo working so I can
compare the two before deciding on one or the other.
Thanks in advance !
