Anyones help on this would be greatly appreciated:
We are using sendmail under Sun Os 4.1.5
At the moment the person who sends out the mail has their name as the
sender rather than a list name. We would like to change this to
minimize personal replies. So far an alias has been set up so that
my name pointed to a listname (e.g. gattest) so that it looked
like the mails were coming from gattest, however if there were any
bounced messages they were being passed on to gattest and the whole
thing was getting in a loop.
What we would like to try now is putting in alias in so that the
list-owner (or person who sends out the mail) is aliased by
helpdesk@x.com, so that all messages look as if
they come from the helpdesk. The problem here is that not everybody
in the restrict file will have this alias set up - only the list
owner, so is it possible to put more than one name as the list owner?
Many regards,
Nick Jones
