I am a 'newbie' trying to set up Majordomo. I currently have Majordomo up
and running for the most part with Sendmail, but I am trying to change some
of my aliases in the majordomo.aliases file. The file (after I changed some
of the user parameters) looks like this:
#
# The aliases file for majordomo. This works best if you tell sendmail
about it
# in your sendmail.cf file (either /usr/lib/sendmail.cf or
/etc/sendmail.cf).
#
# You need to be running a recent (8.6, at least) version of sendmail; one
that
# groks multiple alias files.
#
# Look for a line that says "OA/usr/lib/aliases" or somesuch, and add a
line below
# it, w/o the leading # sign, that looks like this:
#
# OA/usr/home/majordomo/majordomo/majordomo.aliases
#
# After doing this, you should refreeze the sendmail cf via
'/usr/lib/sendmail -bz' and
# restart sendmail.
#
majordomo: "|/usr/home/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.4/wrapper majordomo"
majordomo-owner: kcrane
owner-majordomo: kcrane
test: "|/usr/home/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.4/wrapper resend -l test
test-list"
test-list: :include:/usr/home/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test
owner-test: kcrane
test-owner: kcrane
test-approval: kcrane
test-request: "|/usr/home/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.4/wrapper request-answer
test"
I have hashed this file into majordomo.aliases.db using the following command:
# makemap hash majordomo.aliases > majordomo.aliases
Unfortunately, the mail is now getting lost (when I send mail to test-owner
for example, the mail just hangs in the system) and the mail log states
that the 'majordomo.aliases.db file is out of date'. Is this more a
Sendmail problem or a majordomo problem? Can anybody help me?
Thanks
