I have built majordomo 1.94.4 on RedHat 4.1 [kernel 2.0.27] Everything is
working fine as long as creating lists, subscribing, unsubscribing,
confirmation, who, which, info, config, etc. But when I [the only member of
this test list] post a message to the list. It does not get through and
following is posted to the list owner instead:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
test-list
:include:/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test
(expanded from: test-list)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 :include:/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test... Cannot open
/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test: Permission denied
554 test-list... aliasing/forwarding loop broken
Message delivered to mailing list owner-test@domain.com
Following is a glimpse of relevant entries from my /etc/aliases file:
#
# `Test' Mailing List
#
test: "|/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/wrapper resend -l test test-list"
test-list: :include:/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test
owner-test: me@domain.com,
test-owner: me@domain.com
test-request: "|/usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/wrapper majordomo -l test"
test-approval: me@domain.com
All permissions are okay as are reported by ./wrapper config-test [I ran
this as a normal non-privilaged user several times]
To be specific, permission on /usr/lib/majordomo-1.94.4/lists/test [the
file majordomo is reporting not having access] has permission 664.
All files' owner and group is a user 'majordomo' and group 'majordom'.
Majordomo is also made to run as majordom [I specified that in Makefile.]
Wrapper's setuid is root.
I don't know what am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any help. I am
running sendmail 8.8.8
