Hello,
I hope someone out there can help me with a problem i am facing. I do web
site development and hosting for companies here in India. I have a virtual
web server in USA where i host my files, on which i can host different
domain names on a single IP.
Now, i have domain1.com, domain2.com and domain3.com
Its easy to have mailing list for domain1.com, say, my-list@domain1.com,
but the problem starts when i make other-list@domain2.com
In majordomo.cf, i put
$whereami = "domain1.com"
Suppose i create a list, my-list
Now, mails sent to majordomo@domain1.com gets a reply from domain1.com
verifying my joining.
if i put :
$whereami = "domain1.com"
$whereami = "domain2.com"
$whereami = "domain3.com
then mails to majordomo@domain1.com or to majordomo@domain2.com gets a
verification reply from domain3.com *(THE LAST DOMAIN NAME IN THE WHEREAMI
LIST)* but the mail address other-list@domain2.com works fine. Only, the
people joining at domain2.com may get confused to recive a mail from
domain3.com
Any way to ensure that majordomo@domain<n>.com, gets a reply from the right
domain ?
Thanks,
Makarand Bhandari
