The flaw in your philosophy is that it 'works fine' at all.  It does not
work at all.

If you really want to stop spam, complain, systematically, about *EVERY*
bit of spam you get.  Complain to the ISPs being abused by spammers.
Complain to your Congresscritters, tell them you do not want to pay to
carry someone else's junk mail, tell them you are against the current bill
and that you want a *real* anti-spam law.
