They should have sent you a document called "list-owner-info". I am
sending a copy of that to you separately. (I just sent it. Don't reply
to the address that I sent it from though).

I am assuming that when they set you up at your site they gave you a
list administration passwd. If not, there is nothing you can to except
get them to learn about majordomo
Note that the password part below is NOT your login or username password.
Instead it is a very low security password used only for managing the
particular list. Normally you should never send passwords by email. But
the majordomo list admin passwords are low security passwords that have
no connection to anything other than majordomo list administration.
(1) Compose a mail message to majordomo at your site (if you don't know
the address, there is nothing anyone can figure out from here, but if
you subscribe or unsubscribe people to the list then it is the same
address you use for that (and the same password).
(2) The body of the message should say
newinfo LISTNAME PASSWORD
Thank you for joining the such and such announcement email list. This
list is for people who ....
blah blah blah ... All the way to the end of what you send.
(3) You can check the message by sending mail to majordomo at your site
with the message body
info LISTNAME
